Voice of Builders is a dynamic faith-based platform dedicated to inspiring, equipping, and empowering teenagers and young adults to thrive in every area of life.
Through teaching, training, and mentoring, we help them uncover their purpose, develop essential life and leadership skills, and grow in character and confidence.
At Voice of Builders, we foster a supportive and value-driven environment where young people are guided by faith and fueled by vision. We intentionally connect them with resourceful individuals—mentors, educators, and professionals—who serve as catalysts for growth, inspiration, and real-world application.
Our programs are designed to meet young people where they are and guide them toward where they are called to be—spiritually, intellectually, and socially. Whether it’s through workshops, mentorship sessions, leadership training, or community service, we are committed to building a generation that stands tall in purpose, walks in truth, and lives to make a difference.
Voice of Builders is more than a platform—it’s a movement. A movement of young minds being shaped, hearts being stirred, and futures being built on a foundation of faith, wisdom, and purpose.
To inspire, teach, train, and mentor teenagers and young adults by connecting them with transformational knowledge, resourceful mentors, and growth opportunities that empower them to discover purpose, develop character, and lead impactful lives.
To become a global organisation which raises a generation of purpose-driven young leaders, rooted in faith, equipped with wisdom, and empowered to impact their world through knowledge, mentorship, and meaningful opportunities.
Voice of Builders began in September 2013 as a response to a deep burden to rescue young people from the decay of societal values and help them build a glorious future. The goal was to provide the instruction, counsel, support, and guidance needed for wise decision-making.
It was the sincere effort of the founder, Mr. Kolawole Osunniyi, to contribute to the proper development of children, teenagers, and young adults in his immediate environment by bridging the gap between them and valuable guidance that leads to a better life and future.
Reflecting on his own childhood, the struggles of growing up, and the life-changing impact of adults who laid a strong foundation for him, Mr. Osunniyi was convinced that the next generation needed him to be one of the hands that would help build them too.
Voice of Builders officially launched with the publication of a bulletin in September 2013 on the campus of the University of Ibadan. The anchor article, titled “The Best You,” explored identity and the potential of individuals in God, asserting that God’s view is the best definition of a person. This publication was made possible with the help of Dr. Temitope Adeleye and was distributed across campuses and secondary schools in Ibadan, Lagos, and parts of Ogun State, Nigeria.
In 2015, the second edition of the bulletin was printed in Jos, Plateau State. The anchor article was “Freedom vs Responsibility,” and another featured article, “Maximising Relationships,” was written by Temitope Akinola—a dear brother and friend. This edition addressed the growing desire for unchecked freedom among young people and emphasized the importance of balancing freedom with responsibility and building meaningful relationships. It was used in several campaigns across secondary schools, churches, and communities in Jos. Voice of Builders also partnered with other passionate individuals to organize seminars and skill acquisition programs, including sessions at Glorious Hope High School and First Baptist Church, Bukuru in Jos.
That same year, Voice of Builders established an online presence through a Facebook page where short write-ups and articles were shared to reach a global audience.
In 2017 and 2018, Voice of Builders partnered with Capaitance, the Youth Fellowship of First Baptist Church Akute, to host Business Summits for teenagers and young adults.
Also in 2017, a new bulletin was released with the theme focused on building a glorious future through the power of vision. The lead article, “Vision vs Ambition,” was accompanied by others such as “Using Your Imagination” and a reflection on wisdom from animals. This edition was designed and printed by Oyegbile Adetola and distributed across secondary schools in Ibadan, Lagos, and parts of Ogun State.
In 2018, the team decided to go fully digital by sharing all write-ups exclusively via Facebook. This digital engagement continues to this day, although outreach efforts and collaborations remain active whenever opportunities arise.
In 2021, following the pandemic and its aftermath, the team envisioned a virtual conference platform to raise young leaders with the potential to transform society. The inaugural edition of the New Nation Conference (NNC) took place from September 18–19, 2021, with the theme “The Birth of a New Nation.” It emphasized individual transformation as the foundation for societal change. Rev. Fisayo Olatunji and Rev. Oyedeji Johnson facilitated the sessions, which lasted 90 minutes and had about 25 participants. A notable highlight was the provision of a viewing center at Olivet Baptist High School, thanks to the chaplain, Rev. Johnson.
The 2022 edition, themed “Godly Seed, Mighty Seed,” focused on the potential of a transformed life. Held from September 17–19, the conference featured speakers such as Rev. (Dr.) Ataname Basil, Mr. Shine Adeeko, Rev. Oyedeji Johnson, and Tosin Oladejo, who led various impactful sessions.
In 2023, the focus shifted to the origin and value of authority for impactful living under the theme “Ruled from Above.” Held from September 18–19, facilitators included Rev. Segun Akande and Dr. Omolade Falade, with Amoo Bukunmi delivering a spoken word performance on the theme. About 30 participants attended.
The 2024 edition delved into the heart of leadership—its meaning, dynamics, and the attitudes required to convert potential into performance. The theme was “The Spirit of Leadership,” inspired by the book by Dr. Myles Munroe. Speakers included Bruna Willings (UK), Rev. (Dr.) Jerry Akinsola, and Ifeoluwa Alabi (Esq.). Sessions explored leadership mindsets and encouraged self-evaluation. The event ran from September 20–22, with 99 registered participants and over 50% attendance. A remarkable participant was Tychicus Okunade, a preteen who attended all sessions. Recordings were shared via our new YouTube channel, New Nation Conference, as post-conference resources.
The fifth edition of the NNC is scheduled for September 19–21, 2025, with the theme “Releasing Your Leadership.” The focus will be on taking action—stepping out, stepping up, shining, and standing out. The reference book is “Releasing Your Potential” by Dr. Myles Munroe.
We gratefully acknowledge the individuals who have supported and labored with the team over the past twelve years: Samuel Ayodele, Obafemi Osunniyi, Seun Peter, Oluwatosin Ola, OgoOluwa Ojo, Grace Otolorin, Kehinde Dehinbo, Victor Aderibigbe, Oyegbile Adetola, and Ayodele Oniosun.
Over the years, Voice of Builders has provided support to young people in various ways—including school fees, housing, business support (in cash and kind), relief funds for individuals and families, along with ongoing counseling, mentoring, and training. We also connect young people with opportunities whenever possible.
Our plan is to continue and expand these activities. To date, all funding has come internally from the team, though we’ve received non-monetary support from individuals who believe in our mission. We aim to compile our articles into training materials and books and hope to partner with more youth-focused organizations for projects that raise a generation of productive leaders.
We are open-minded, dynamic, and focused. Our vision is great. We are a voice that builds!
